37 e-Governance projects to go on stream by 2010
HYDERABAD: The Centre is keen on completing by the year 2010, 37 projects covering e-Governance and digitisation of public services, even those in the
education sector, at an estimated cost of US $8 million.
This was revealed by IBM’s Country Manager (Government) here, Satish Kaushal during a visit to Hyderabad on Friday for the inauguration of a new development
facility of Infronics Systems Limited. In an informal interaction with press persons, he however, hastened to add that the targets were those that Government
of India wished to achieve.
On IT companies losing revenues with the rupee appreciating over the US dollar, Mr. Kaushal said it was a temporary phenomenon.
