ICT for Project Monitoring
Government undertakes number of projects for the development of Rural Areas. Projects like construction of roads, housing projects, drinking water projects, and health centers etc.,. These projects in Rural areas spread across 625 districts/6500 blocks/2.5 lakh Panchayaths. Monitoring these projects is a difficult task with wide geographical spread of activities across remote areas. Non-availability/limited availability of infrastructure for preparing and transmitting reports (Computers, printers, connectivity, etc.,) in remote locations results in delayed reports or inaccurate/incomplete reports and re-verifying the reports submitted become a delayed process.
Infronics has developed a solution to overcome the problems in monitoring and auditing these projects with the help of Information & Communication Technology (ICT). The system is equipped with superior functions like capturing data of projects including pictures, videos and textual information through ICT enabled Handheld terminals, Store information in secure format and transmit information from the site in real time to the central server where data can be downloaded for report generation. Alerts generated from the reports can be send in the form of SMS's or Mails to the Monitors/Surveyors
Infronics has successfully proposed APMIP Monitoring System that helps the Government monitor Micro-Irrigation Projects in Andhra Pradesh, providing tools to enable on-demand audit and increase transparency in the program.
